Bring it onA Poem by Not here
To whoever it may concern,
to all of you who let me burn and looked at me with laughing eyes as my smoke rose to the skies, It's been a while since you left, but not enough. I won't forget how you went along alone and left me in this place called "Home." So those words that you said, while you gently laid your head upon my shoulder late at night, those words were all just a lie? A lie told well, strung across time; maybe love for me has died. Or was it, in fact, ever alive? Was it just a tale of old wives? So the sky will fall? Okay. So the world may break today? Hey, would that be so bad? I think we are all just a tad overreacting to all the news. But you're in that group too, I assume? My world is mine to shape and make. And if it just so happens to break, I'll look up to the cracks beyond, and shout out to them, "Bring it on!" © 2015 Not hereReviews
