A Snowflake on My Summer Palm

A Snowflake on My Summer Palm

A Poem by daveyboygreen

I am

and will

forever be undone.

bewitched

singularly unpicked

stitch by every manly stitch

when such a soul, a woven soul

as hers

of light

and stars

amidst the beauty of her dark

unsolvable

deepest thoughts

locks

upon my eyes

and lingers in my heart.

A field of Golden desert flowers

a fragile rose, yet blood sharp thorn

a snowflake on my Summer palm

untouchable

unholdable

then gone.

A snowflake

in the scorching heat

upon my palm

with time enough

just enough

to spellbind me

in fleeting complex beauty

then she’s gone.

It means the more

I cherish

till she’s gone.
