the broken glass

the broken glass

A Poem by dave mngau

The broken glass

I had to revisit the scene,

All I found were fragments,

That same old glass,

that was once strong and attractive,

Was completely broken.

Trying to put back the pieces,

Will only slice you open….

You just watch in despair,

 at the little fragments,

Getting more dispersed,

Could it be fixed, only time will tell,

But the hope is too faint,

Trying to put back the pieces,

Will only slice you open.

Ohhh dear glass,

What happened to you,

Were you that fragile,

To easily fall apart,

Trying to put back the pieces,

Will only slice you open.
