Ugly Christmas Sweaters

They are awful looking! Haha

The scratchy wool itches my skin.

The ugly colors of brown and grey as tin

Odd shaped buttons that always come loose

These sweaters enlarge the shape of my caboose

 

Odd prints like reindeer, snowmen and stripes

When my dog sees me coming he jumps and yipes

Sometimes there are snowflakes that make them kind of cute

But either way I would like to give these sweaters the boot

 

My grandma always buys them in the cheapest of stores

Thank goodness she doesn’t expect me to where them to the shore

I’m thankful only once a year I have to wear these things

Cause they really are awful and they make my eyes sting!

This is a very cool, yet practical piece. I love that you took the time to make everything rhyme. And I havent read very many of you other pieces, but I do love this. I think it perfectly decsribes how a lot of people feel when they bust out their box of Christmas Sweaters!
