Ocean Waves

My first love... the ocean

Gentle breeze blowing across the dunes

Seagulls soaring overhead, swooping down

Salty sea air lingering around me

 

I bend down and sift my fingers through

the pearlescent sand

Staring at the sunrise appearing on

the horizon

 

Before me the ocean waves roar

bringing with them a calming peace

to my inner being

 

I move closer to where the wave meets the sand

and I slide my toes into the foaming water

Another wave comes crashing down,

spritzing droplets of water onto my face

 

I stand there in awe of the beauty abounding

As the ocean waves surround me

It's becoming winter around here, and I wanted to write about something that helps me forget about the winter season :) haha

I love it! its winter around here too and this made me think of summer and the beach and sunset (idk why) I love this and.... i love it!!!!!
