Goodbyes

I believe goodbye is one of the hardest words to say

Adéu

Hej då

Adiós

Hagoonea'

Auf Wiedersehen

Ciao

Paalam

Zai jian

Goodbye

 

No matter how I say it

or what language I say it in

Goodbye is just too hard to say

when it’s the last word I have

to say before you're gone.

so true, goodbyes is certainly something everyone desperately doesn't want to go through! if its goodbye for the day, or forever both hurt. i think its great that your dedicating a piece about them, because they have a huge impact on everyone

Good-byes are definitely hard to be said... I've had to say quite a few good-byes, as I've moved twice. I just always have to remember there will be other friends to meet, and, no matter where I am, God is there for me. And my family. :)

Wow...Though I only understand "adios", "ciao", "paalam" and "goodbye", I'm still amazed by the idea or message behind this short piece...

Bravo for you on doing the research founding out each one and how they are used respectfully in their given tongue. Just a wonderfully different look on that one word which we take for granted. (Really we often do) Forget to say it to a loved one and it's last time we see them..other reasons too, but that one hits me at the moment. It truely is the hardest word to say. Just stunning work you did for this one simple word. :)

I like this one a lot. I am totally fascinated by languages. Our public library every month chooses a phrase in engish and posts translations for about 20 or 30 languages. I wait with anticipation each month for it to change.
