A Cocktail of Misery

A Cocktail of Misery

A Poem by nonsensicalwritings
"

a recipe poem on the 5 stages of grief

"

You start with a bottle of denial

Swirl it in with a shovel

And stir in a few drops of fury

Two spoonfuls of depression are required

To make you want to join them

Place it in the shaker of loss

Jumble the feelings until they blend

And pour it into a crystal shot-glass of acceptance

Quite a bitter drink

Only serves one

Very sorrow poem, but very well written. The last line is the one that hits hardest. "Only serves one" really describes how much pain one person can be dealt in the cards of life.
You worded this poem beautifully.
Keep writing!
