World of WritingA Poem by DarrinReayThere was a time when life became such a hard place, And still i even did my best to put a smile upon face, Because in this world you get judged for the littlest thing, Judged for being too sad; judged for not smiling, Even when you smile, you still get judged which makes no sense, Why get judged for that? But to my defense, I learned to ignore what people say, And now i've learned to live each day, Not letting people bring me down, And turn my smile upside down. Because i needed a little happiness in my life, I needed something good to come along, And now what i've realised is, This world of writing is where i belong, I learned to put how i was feeling, Into songs and the odd poem, And i even learned to keep, Keep the rhythm of the lines going, Now life is not a hard place, It's place now that i enjoy, So sing along with me, And your life will be filled with joy. And if you ever feel like you are alone, Look back at this; you will know you're not on your own, Look at your friends, look at your family, They show you love, can't you see? Even when the sun goes down and the skies go grey, The love is still there, it never goes away, I realized that even though they don't remind me, Their love is still there, their love will always be. If you need a little happiness in your life, And need something good to come along, What you have got to realise is, This world of writing is where we all belong, Just learn to put how i you're feeling, Into songs and the odd poem, Then learn how to keep, Keep the rhythm of the lines going, And life won't be such a hard place, It will be a place now that you enjoy, And i'll be hear to sing along with you,, And watch your life be filled of joy.
