Remember on that dark, cold night,
Laying together smiling,
Then the stars, they shined so bright,
And I knew that i had the best,
When i heard your heartbeat,

Beating right out your chest.

And i looked right into your eyes,
You never thought i could,
But i could see right past your disguise,
I could see love and other stuff,
I didn't care about your flaws,

Because what we had was enough.

And i leaned in and we started to kiss,

I didn't want you to go,

Cause you're the one i always miss,

And we kissed every minute of the night,

And when i walked you home,

You were my guiding light. 

And when i was laying in bed alone,

I was missing you,

So i turned right to my phone,

And i didn't want to sound pitiful,

So i sent you just two words,

'Goodnight beautiful.'

Absolutely stunning job with this, I hope that the girl you wrote this about, if you did use someone as inspiration for this, knows how lucky she is to have a guy write poems about her, especially pretty ones like this.
