Dreaming

This is for all you people who are feeling upset, down or alone!

Do not be afraid of dreaming when your life becomes a bore,

There is nothing wrong with wanting something much more,

Wether it is to be happy or if it is to fall in love,

Or maybe be with that special one in the sky above,

In your dreams you can be free and do whatever you can,

You can be the perfect woman or be the perfect man,

You can fly through the clouds and you can travel to the moon,

You can reunite with someone who was taken from you far too soon. 

Just remember when you close your eyes and you fall asleep at night,

That within the blink of an eye you can turn your darkness into light,

You do not have to feel alone but even if you do,

You can dream about your true love waiting to fall in love with you,

Just dream them into your life and let them make your dreams come true,

And when you wake up from your sleep they can be the chosen one of the many few.

Have you ever woken up from a good dream and tried your best to get back to sleep,

And you lay in your room with your eyes closed in a conversation that is so deep,

And you begin to think about your friends and your family,

And say in your head 'Do i mean more to them than they do to me?'

And you begin to feel happy and everything starts to go right,

Then things go even better when you fall asleep at night.

Love this! It could be transformed into a song with a fitting musical backdrop, but for this while it is a very great piece of writing.

Okay Darrin, again you've tackled a worthy theme and given it a nice perspective. I would caution you about word useage "woken up" for example. Even so, you seem to improve with time and I can only encourage you to continue.

This was a huge comfort for me because I seriously suffer Insomnia..
I think the trigger is the darkness at night gives me negative thoughts and I'm trying to get through my reading requests tonight during my insomnia but now I could honestly sleep, this is such an uplifting piece I love it.
Only thing it lacks is credit.
