Love Is Just A WordA Poem by DarrinReayI know i said that the last one was going to be the last for a while but i felt inspired to write another. It is different than my recent stuff. I hope that you enjoy it!BOY: She was my girl and i gave her the world, I gave her my heart but then she tore apart, Your promises they didn't mean a thing, And now i am not listening, To a word that comes out your mouth, So scream and shout and let your words out, But i am not listening. GIRL: He was my boy and he give me his world, He thinks i tore him apart but i really gave him my heart, I promised i would never ever leave, And around him i found it hard to breathe, But i made a mistake and now i'm sat crying, And he won't take me back no matter hard it is i am trying, So i am just sat here crying. BOTH: Love is just a word that is spread around far too easily, People don't mean it when they say that word, Then when they come to the end of their relationship, They both blame each other for causing the other one pain, And they both live in denial and seek others again, But it doesn't work and they get hurt once again. BOY: I still love her. GIRL: I still love him, What can i do to get him back? BOY: But i don't want her back no not again, I don't want to go back through that pain, This is over and i just want her to let me be, Because my heart is finally free. GIRL: I just can't accept that our story doesn't have a happy ending, I just can't accept that i need to move on. BOTH: Love is just a word that is spread around far too easily, People don't mean it when they say that word, Then when they come to the end of their relationship, They both blame each other for causing the other one pain, And they both live in denial and seek others again, But it doesn't work and they get hurt once again.
