Running On Empty

This is the first poem i ever wrote, i didn't even think i still had it saved! But anyways, i hope you enjoy it.

I'm running on empty,

I have no strength to carry on,

Just fill me up with love,

And then prove me wrong,

Go on and take my hand,

And walk with me far away,

Along the clouds and the sand,

Until the stars don't shine,

Until the heavens burst,

Because until then you are mine,

And you know that i'd die for you,

Without even thinking twice,

And you know that i'd cry for you,

And you know that i'd do plenty,

But for now you must wait,

I am running on empty.

If not, then you have a young soul because your words are passionate and drip with idealism that is sometimes lost to longer experience. This is a fine work that expresses your feelings.
