Learning life’s lessons

There are many lessons,
that we must learn in life
Learning is not always easy,
as there’s suffering, pain, and strife

Learning things in life right and wrong,
and making many mistakes along the way
Because of some decisions we’ve made,
we learn some hard lessons that we dearly pay

The consequences of our actions,
and the sin that’s brought upon us
All of the judgement from others,
and the shame that comes from thus

When we earnestly listen for God’s voice,
He gives us all the answers to life’s test
When we seek His wisdom, mercy and grace,
only then can we be loved, forgiven, and have rest

When we seek, knock and also ask,
from Him then we shall receive,
But also know that trust, hope, and faith,
only mean something when we truly believe
