Jesus' resurrection

On that day,
There on the cross
Everyone thought,
Christ was lost

He spread out His arms,
to the cross nailed wide
Taking the tip of a spear,
deep within His side

He arose from the dead,
Where He laid his head
And gave us hope,
for the new days ahead

His blood cleansed our hearts,
And also our souls
And to Jesus Christ,
Our new lives we do owe
