My Creative Ego

My Creative Ego

A Poem by hogan
"

All writers who are creative should read this!

"

It started with some particles,

With the links and bonds they made.

From the primeval soup to bacteria;

Advancing to amoeba, hydra and simple animals,

The strands of DNA replicated and stayed,

Until complexity lead to a thing known as hysteria.

Up to now the course of chemical conception

Has progressed as far as us, you and me.

The living, thinking and aware window of the universe,

Minds capable of invention, imagination and deception.

Made up from all they have tasted, heard, smelt, touched and can see.

Each and every one, so different and so diverse.

And what of this wonder, this beautiful creativity,

Does it have a plan or purpose?

Or is it just a random place to go.

Masters of the universe tell us it will not last for eternity.

The form and structure will dissolve when time has no surplus,

But for now be creative, it will feed your ego.
