A Poem by Linklin

The tale of betrayal is never ending,

The If's, and's, or's and but's

A forever cycle of lies

To trust is to commit suicide

Endless burning without death

How many times must one go through

Before someone admits the truth?

Why is it, that hating is so easy

And love is so hard?

If I stand by your side, what do I get?

And how long must I stay?

Or can I not and say I did?

But inside I hate you and want you to drown in your sorrows

Continue the lies you tell me,

Your eyes deceive you.

They say what you don't have the courage to

Now as you're reading this, you think

"I'm not like this, and who are you to tell me I am?"

The tale of betrayal is never ending,

I write this to let you know

How much I hurt inside.

You choked me with my own trust

Thank you, until next time

Maybe not for you and me

But, for someone else there will

Your cyclone of lies will take you for a loop someday

Please watch for the If's, and's, or's and but's

Is your heart strong enough to hold on?
