Lucid Memories

 

Your eyes scream whispers that melt my heart

A broken lullaby of desolate dreams

Your touch is but a second...

In the ticking of eternity

Your soul so dark and lonely

I long to take it all away, to erase the pain

To show you how to feel once more

If you let me, I can mend that shattered mirror

Promising to never take away your mind

Life is too short to let it slip away...

Your brilliance is too bright

The wind lingers to me from afar

When I stare into this thinned sky

I know that you will suffice

You are too strong to let yourself go

This world may seem so cruel and unpatient

But time is all you can count on you see

Thinking about all I can give

I know now that waiting is life

And that's just what I'm going to give to you

It's all I can do for such a chance at love

I can wait a lifetime if I have to...

Because you are all I want

For I will do anything for who I care for the most

These tears are nothing compared to warmth

The chilling warmth I have each time I think of you

Your whispered kisses wander inside my soul

Dark light shines through the window pane

Shadows dance amongst walls

Once more, I stare into the ceiling

And all I see is your smile

quite a good piece. it touches upon subjects that everyone seems to write about, but you manage to stay away from too much cliche, which is great
