You Don't Know

You Don't Know

A Poem by Darksideofwife

You don’t know how the scar on my right hand curves around my knuckle

You don’t know how I like my face caressed

You don’t know how I play with my rings when I am bored or nervous

You don’t know how when my hair is straight I play with it constantly but when it is curly I don’t even really touch it

You don’t know how I sing in the car to and from work no matter what my mood is

You don’t know how I scrunch up my nose when I am feeling cute

You don’t know how I wear my glasses when I am not feeling confident

You don’t know how I prefer wearing boxers and a t-shirt to bed

You don’t know how I like to have my bed near a window so I can see the moon at night

You don’t know how I always use my middle initial because it signifies the person I have become

You don’t know how I dream about

Think about what you want to remember and how you want to be remembered. This is something I think to myself often but, like everyone else, it sometimes harder said than done. With no drama, there i.. more..
