Jumping into FallA Poem by darkmusicbaby88I feel it...the air is chilled...the trees are baring their souls to passerbys...colorful sweaters fly past me The wind smells of cool change The fall is coming The winds are crisp like a fresh apple that leaves a pleasent taste in your mouth I breath it in...letting it cleanse my lungs...a leaf brushes my cheek The shocking bit of orange falls to the ground I gasp and retrieve the fallen soldier... I never leave a man behind Twirling the stem between my fingers and humming I slowly begin to walk Invisible hands seem to play along my spine...rustle my hair I laugh and twirl like an insane five year old I feel as crisp and clean as the new air Fall is finally here No more uncomfortable, sticky days that make my lungs feel as if they are submerged in the sea Gasping for air...sweating away your life force Now I can pull out my favorite jacket, the one that hugs my curves in all the right places Pumpkins and children dressed as super heros and princesses Candy and cool nights that make you glad that you have that special someone who will let you share their body warmth the world seems to be on fire...oranges and splashes of red I do not Fall, I jump into this time of year
