Night GamesA Poem by darkmusicbaby88I slowly walk through the darkness Silken hair flowing behind me...my heels make no noise as I walk along My bood, red lips smile...my eyes light with hunger The anticipation makes my mouth water...I catch the scent of prey...sweet and innocent A lone girl with auburn hair and lovely pale skin I guess her mother never told her the dangers of walking alone after dark The girl seems to sense impending danger, good let her know I am here...it makes no difference She tenses and frantically begins to walk faster Oh yes...I do love the chase A twig snaps...she stiffens and then darts off toward the bus stop I follow...laughing as I go...let her think that she has gotten away I love to see the hopefulness leave their eyes as they realize that they cannot escape I shift and she runs right into my cold chest, she falls to the ground She whimpers as I grab her by the neck I lift here till she is level with my eyes....I laugh as she tries to escape Slowly I pull her hair out of the way...Ah this is what I have been waiting for the cool, pale skin of her neck gleams in the moonlight...her pulse hammers out a death beat I smile and softly kiss her cheek "Do not be afraid" I say softly "it will not hurt...for long" Striking quickly, my fangs sink into her tender flesh Her blood flows down my throat...I almost moan from the ecstacy of it all I throw her crumpled body to the ground, she lays there her blank eyes staring up at the sky...but seeing nothing A blood red kiss is all that marks my presence Walking away I softly hum a song from that ridiculous Queen of the Damned movie Lestat has nothing on me.
