SPLASH!

The sun beats down upon my body

coating it in glistening droplets of sweat... the water taunts me

Plung in! the cool waves beckon me... "I will wrap you in refreshing silk, I will flow over your body as a lover with cool and cleansing fingers

I stare at the water enchanted by the blue depths

The strange undulations tempt my heated skin

 

How can I resists such a pleasure

The simple answer is that I cannot refuse the water's offering

I feel like an alcholic stuffed into a room with the finest port

I run...

and take a flying leap into the water's cool embrace!

Splash!

Ahh! utter bliss...

I wrote this poem while I was sitting by the side of my pool. It was so hot that I just jumped onto the diving board and then splash! tell me what you think

I was swimming in the ocean today- yes, it is seductive - you said it well - come in! Very "inviting" poem.

This is a situation I've not been lucky enough to be in, but I think that you've captured it perfectly. I can imagine myself sitting right there in the glaring sun.

The giving in to the desire is great. I'd probably like to see a bit more of the thought processes of the breaking down of your resistance, or possibly making the pleasure a bit more forbidden, but as an observation it's really interesting. There's a good balance between internal thought and action.

My favourite line is, "I feel like an alcholic stuffed into a room with the finest port." The layers of meaning here are impressive: the juxstaposition of an alcoholic, who would give anything for any alcohol, and the finest port, being a subtle, refined drink; the suggestion of external influence; the overwhelming sense of temptation.
