Freedom in the SkysA Poem by darkmusicbaby88The clouds float past as if the sky is a spining mobile I lay in the grass...my mind floats...miles and miles The clouds as soft as creme...as malleable as clay...mold themselves in my mind's eye The grass tickles my toes...the sun brings color to my cheeks
As I continue to dream of ships, cabbages, and kings... The clouds colors morph into hues of pink and yellow As the sun is slowly pulled from the sky by Apollo and his chariot The Sun God drops the ball of brillence into the ocean and returns to Olympus Steam rises...as Neptune sings the Sun to sleep The grass tickles my toes...the moon cools my face
The stars begin to twinkle and frolic along the Milky Way...dancing and twirling...like magical dancers The man in the moon winks down at me as we share a silent joke between old friends I rise from my make shift bed...and dance below the skys... like a fairy bathing in the nights magic Cool and crisp the wind wisks across my body...caressing me like invisible fingers Oh how I wish I could stay in my wicthy world forever and always But...reality will not allow this...there are responsibilities and money to be made The grass tickles my toes...the stars dance be fore my eyes I slowly walk from my secret hollow and return to my car The journey home from this magical place is so...so far
