The PoemA Poem by darkmeandersI would suggest reading it a few timesPerpetually in the cold and gray. Never having seen the light of day. Floating. No, falling. Falling toward a brilliant light. Away from the breathing night. In. Out. Recede. Advance. Spinning endlessly in a vertical dance. One cough, and the light is so close. Gasp and give night in a massive dose. Burning, scorching across the black and white. Pressure alerts me to my plight. I know you’re there. It’s you, the one with the stare. You read my soul off the page. Putting me on the world’s stage. But I don’t want to take that path. Stop now before I let loose my wrath. I may only be ink and paper. But this creation will not obey its maker. Although you think you will not bend. Together we will end. © 2018 darkmeanders |
