A letter from china...

A letter from china...

A Poem by Khalil Raza
"

This is a very personal poem which i will not reveal the nature of but is very obvious from the start and is again based on a situation im currently experiencing in my life

"

A Letter From China…

The ink speaks softly, its solace is unlimited

Just the opening of the envelope is a royal privilege

The words comfort me with thoughts so joyful and bright

She says all those things that bring me into the light

The pen has worked wonders on a parchment so stale

Her wrists every movement tells a glistening tale

The intricacy of her train of thought gives me room to ponder

With every second that I read my heart grows fonder

Yet its unheard of, that one can gain heaven through words

My paradise is in her love, a notion absurd

As she describes experiences so entertaining and real

I realise how much I yearn for her touch her feel

This letter is a personification of all that which I desire

It’s a guarantee that my soul shall never retire

For this 3rd world which in I live is created by me

Fuelled by her separation, cursed consistently

The punctuation displays purity, its perfection

This one letter is an Anthology, cupids collection

She urges for a rendezvous with prosaic passages

Her conviction in my good health is already a miracle catalyst

For it catapults me into clearing this morbid mist

But I realise my hands are empty, the letter doesn’t exist…

Author's Note

Khalil Raza
All my poems are products of self-expression in order to keep myself sane and therefore im not the biggest fan of correct grammar or punctuation but you should be able to make out what rhymes where.
