Sweet Farewell

Sweet Farewell

A Poem by darkhippie

Imagined perfection made real in your eyes of beautifully clear thoughts

of
peace.

A smile your sword

Your sweet voice a gentle force
Unrelenting
No matter how icy the heart or bitter
their love

The darkest tides of emotional floods
A moonlit silver lake of glassy balance in your presence

We were all children to you at one time
or another, or two or three times across
the ages.

Your innocence & understanding of our
wrongdoing made us love you even more.

We loved you dear matriarch
We love you still
Your sons and daughters
Your children's children
and for me
Matriarch

My dearest Grandmother
