Fear

Fear

A Poem by TurtleClark

Fear sits in wait

watching for the next bow to break

waiting for the lights to dim

hoping your mind will fill with doubt

He sits precariously upon his chair

perched up high without a care

waiting for your hand to tremble

Many have come to battle here

Trying to conquer the king called fear

Sent home sad puppies

their tails between their legs

The sweat that wets your brow

That feeling that its all over now

The tingle down your spine

you know you won’t be fine

I liked how you defined fear in the poetry.
"The sweat that wets your brow
That feeling that its all over now
The tingle down your spine
you know you won’t be fine"
The above lines are true. Fear make us think and react. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

One thing i loved while reading this poem is the fact that from the word GO "FEAR" you gave it life and thus every inch of the poem with its "wreckless" rhyming made perfect at the end, grasps a reader by its imagery. Rarely do we encounter anyone giving an emotion life and make it alive like you have done in this piece, and congratulations on that.

This is an admirable poem.
