Calm under the water

here under the water

we can stay and watch the waves crash overhead

like we're dead

is it safer at the top

where everything is dark

cause i know for sure that the calm is under the water

i'm not afraid to live this life

i'm not afraid to leave it all behind

you can watch me as i try to understand

the truth behind the man

and i am scared that 

some day we'll see that life isn't worth it 

for you and me

but if we just stay here

on the ocean

cause i have stayed here

i feel no pain anymore

and i will stay here

with the calm under the water

i'm scared now 

but the calms under the water

will you stay here with me

and watch below the sea

Author's Note

I was bored, so I wrote this song. I've always liked swimming and sometimes like to lay at the bottom of the pool and watch people swim above me. Its always so quiet and peaceful which I enjoy.

I could drown to the depths of the ocean with the author of this poem, time itself could not keep me from holding my breath.. so peaceful and calm .. watching the world pass by over head but not having to stress.

It's sort of like.. You found a civilization somewhere else to go and hide when things get rough, which is something everyone as human beings sorely need whether they admit it or otherwise.
