Leaving Home

Leaving Home

A Poem by chandlerl

This life isn't right.

This isn't where I want to be.

Cold, alone, empty of tears

and my journal- the only thing

still sitting beside me.

A consequence of a rushed desicion.

And as I ran from the place,

that had welcomed me- as my home.

I wondered, 'Will it welcome me back?

...Probably not...

She told me to leave,

that the door was right there.

Expectantly, unexpected,

I took my leave.

Now I'm here,

living in...

undeniable fear.
