Death, Have Mercy

Death, Have Mercy

A Poem by chandlerl

They will fine me.

I will be carted away.

But will I find,

what I'm looking for?

Will I find,

my own way?

or will today,

be like tomorrow

just another day?

Or will I lay

and rot inside a cell,

from the inside out?

WOndering what day it is.

Hoping by some miricale,

Death would take pity on me.

That he'll take me by the hand,

take me away from here.

Or should I just stick it out

try over again, to crawl my way,

back out of this fear.

Listen to the ones,

who want nothing, but the best.

It's time to give these aching bones,

some sleep and time to rest.
