Monstrosity

Addiction is a monster

and the worst part of it is

the mystery that it holds.

Why an addict

would waste their life,

I shudder to put my mind around it.

Why did man go through evolution?

Just to watch it rot?

A shadow cast,

over a brilliant mind.

Life is just a dream,

based on someone else's 

reality.
