Light or Dark

Some things are best kept in the dark
and away from the light.
Some things are meant to be put up
and kept out of sight.
But some things are meant to be cared for
to put up and fight for.
Take the key from within
and open the door.
Do it fast,
before you hit the floor,
end up cut to the core.
Lost in the past
so broken and sore,
that nothing would go my way
until i found N.A.
Now every day
I find myself thinking
sober life is the life for me
the steps were the key,
while sobriety set me free.
