Slithering Through

Slithering Through

A Poem by chandlerl
"

A metaphorical snake, I am.

"
Dressed completely in black
I slide through the grass
through the lies of my life

Green eyes as brilliant as the stars
as green as the grass
I fly through.

Sunning my skin in the bright ember in the sky
Shedding hard skin
only in the company of friends

Curling at the sight of any enemy
Ready and poised to strike
at any wrong move.

Keeping my secrets to myself
loyal to myself and close friends
A loner in the golden grassy hills
of my mind.

I do like your description, very much; you are a gifted writer...what animal am I? Well...thank you for asking. I am a mama bear. I protect my young. Thank you for sharing this with us.
