What Lies BeneathA Poem by chandlerlWhat will your imprint on this earth be?
What are you doing with your life,
is it something good? Something wholesomely and undoubtedly worthy to leave your imprint on this earth? Will is make people happy? sad? angry? To see the corruption, the unsavory taste of truth? Show the youth what to and not to do be an example of how the best of intentions with a sneaky underhanded serve has led this beautiful world, astray. Into the darkness. How even those who have once been thought good enough to enter the gates of heaven are now condemned, to drink, from the fires of the lake of hell. Left to wonder through the flames the billowing, putrid smoke. You may be shown the way to the light, but it's so far out of reach. You're so incredibly genuine because I see what's underneath. © 2012 chandlerlAuthor's Note
