Black Hole

Black Hole

A Poem by dark and twisty

Where my heart used to be
Resides a black hole.
It lies dormant
Awaiting the hour of twilight.
As the sky blooms red, orange and dark blue
It inhales everything in its sight.
The universe is safe
But I am crumbling -
Between the shadow and the want
The essence and the abandonment
I come to exist
As a word, a lie,
A teardrop, a broken thread,
Rendered inconsequential and invisible
In the weight of the universe.
