The Death of VenusA Poem by dark and twisty
Last night I spoke to Venus; The brightest planet in the sky Came to me on a trail blaze of stars. She whispered no secrets of love Having lost them all to Hate And his sickly cousin Indifference. She was fading into non-existence Drowning in an unfamiliar quagmire Of abandonment and bitterness And so she has come to earth To join us non-believers Having become one herself.
