The ApostasyA Poem by darem aq.The Apostasy Her silhouette shimmering past- -My out-stretched shivering hand Her remnants, scattered
across my heart A deluge of ache and
the longing art I’ve been rambling
in these ruins In a dire quest for
retrieval But the damage is
far greater than To attempt and
relive the utopia; The cloud I once
lived under That sheltered me
from the burning sun What have I got left
to hold on to? Besides this full
spectrum loss What else have I to mourn? Other than this
forsaken past She was all that
ever mattered: As I shrieked and
chattered A battering bite:
shred the tongue Gashing lips from
the despair I had sung This is the waking shrapnel Of reality and tangibility To wound the ever
straying soul Lost forever in an effortless haul © 2010 darem aq.Reviews
