Spinal Tap [prologue]

Spinal Tap [prologue]

A Poem by darem aq.

Spinal Tap

[ prologue ]

Out from a world of miracles

Conferring comfort and peace

Alternating reason and logic

Alienating nature’s appendices

A place where we relieve

All the pressure and stress

The space in which we live

Always settling for less

Accustomed to fabricated truth

Defying the only purpose of youth

Dried now: tears of remorse

Gone now: the driving force

Repentance seeming less doubtful

By any means of salvation

From this downfall

Deliverance of past's catastrophe

Bypassing future's fallacy

I... now think

For there have never been a choice?

To take the white path and rejoice

Crestfallen in regret

Apostate’s tears, Fatigue sweat

I... now recall

The reason for it all

The spark of doubt

The clarity I lived without

Waves that cast driftwood far away

Across an ocean of denial

Tides that bring

All the memories back in reverse

Winds that blow deep within

Shivering images of past

I enjoyed it, though I have already enjoyed it once it was a draft between your papers mate ;)
I think it's a conclusion on the pieces you have written before along with Paroxysm of Emptiness...
Need I say more?! ;)

I'm in agreement with Bette, however I like

Dried now: tears of remorse
Gone now: the driving force
