For once I deceived
Endlessly betrayed
Drifting astray
Forever and a day
Boundlessly ceasing
bearing no smile
Embracing the coffin
Of a leading vile

Oh' fate...
An awe chilling taunt
Faltering chaos from within
Void of a blinding shine
Silhouette’s binding vines

Beautifully written. Such wondrous expression and imagery. It felt to me that the speaker was trapped alive within a coffin under the ground, waiting calmly and patiently to die after struggling in vain to escape. Wonderful choice of words. Very moving. I adore the title as well, "Tabula Rasa" has always been one of my favorite expressions I retain from my Latin classes.
