I Will Wait...

I Will Wait...

A Poem by Treston Seek

if I had to choose what to say
while i was on the brink of death
i would say "i love you" with my very last breath
In hopes you would remember me as the man
who loved you with all his heart
and that not even death could tear us apart
In hopes that you would remember when i was alive
as the funny,caring,and loving guy
I will be waiting for you to be by my side
To love you for eternity even after life
In my wait i will tell god all about you
And if anything how much i cared about you
I would tell him he has a beautiful dark angel coming his way
That loves me too as she would say
I will wait for you everyday
and pray i will see you again some day
If anything i hope you are happy
and not spend every day feeling crappy
with a smile on your face, and tears of joy
while you hand your grandchild her new toy
"Live everyday to the fullest" as you used to say
"But remember to live it your own way"
I will be waiting for you to see me again
When you come i will hold you and say
"I love you" over and over again

This is really cool . . . I like how it's told from the point of view of someone who's already crossed over, on the other side of Death's River. I don't know why, but that makes it much more profound, somehow.
