Global Girl

Global Girl

A Poem by Daniel Dougherty
"

This one is based off of a friend who is just about every ethnicity ever conceived. Read on.

"

The African nature of her conspicuous lips,

their lush thickness will put you on a trip.

Freckles and auburn hair of the fjords,

an Irish beauty as never before.

Someone, somewhere made a wish in the world,

that there should be a Global Girl.

An elegant hourglass,

refusing mass or Mass.

Alluring with obious hair

that dares to dare.

Chinese eyes of piercing green,

are unlike anything you've ever seen.

Such fair skin with tints of yellow and tan,

needless to say, I'm a fan.

She brings that North European, East Asian, African flair,

a coin for every diversity that she wears.

She's bringing it to America,

and trust me, she'll define an era.

I made a wish that I would have a friend in this world,

and her name is Global Girl.
