Moments like TheseA Story by Danny DilaneMidnight escape by two runawaysMoments like these were his favourite. It was half past midnight and the driver’s seat window was open. He
had his hand sticking out of it, running his fingers through the air as the car
ribboned down the wooded countryside. It was just him and her, and that’s what
he liked best. They were runaways. Escaping the city lights, followed only by the
car lights of other runaways. She was scared but he was reassuring. “If only you could walk in my shoes” she’d say “then you’d
understand.” “I’d rather jump your bones than walk in your shoes.” He’d reply. “That can be arranged.” She unzipped his pants. “Not now, I’m driving.” “What are you? Chicken?” So, he’d let her on and enjoyed the way he took up her mouth, the
soft sounds she made as she went down and the way her hair tickled his nose as
the wind rustled through it. He breathed her in, because moments like these were his favourite. © 2016 Danny Dilane |
