Mesa sounds inky night sky

Mesa sounds inky night sky

A Poem by danny

Horsie's ears are prickling
Cold winds stilling my soul
Them ghosts bygone tickling
The sounds of silence roll
Sunset on Mesa Sweetwater
A hint of glint on matter
Final ray on flats turquoise lighting fusion
Momentarily holding the chinky quartz vision
Must've been the polished rock of the river run dry
At the rim of the flat where even the pine trees fry
Come daylight it will be stark sunshine beating with heat
But now night cools the earth, nature beating swift retreat
Yet the mesa's one sober treat
Off the rim it's hell to greet
Sheer vertigo drop of four thousand
Landscape of sand to purple mountain
In respite looking at twinklers set hanging so sweet and up high
Sounds of horsie munching stuff my eyes glued to inky night sky
