A warmachineA Poem by Dani The UnreviewedDon't even read. Thanks.
Every morning, staring at the reflection in the mirror,
Saying, knowing "They all hate you. You're gonna lose." I know. It's a way to set the warmachine on a new rampage. Cold steel, not much emotion, Just electric thoughts, Cold logic and furious hurricanes of flames. Another day, to show off what a single soldier can do when he's cornered. A warmachine set free, On a bloody street, In the middle of a killing spree. Once a human pulled a knife, But the machine pulled his life. Nearly killed him. Nearly... A film running so thin, When emotionless creeps try, And fail with hurting. They all end up the same way. Marks of fists, Broken bones, limb twists. A few cracked out teeth. Sitting in a pool of their own blood, Back against the wall, moaning in pain. When the demon makes it rain blood, Another evil chaotic flood. Once upon a time, They stepped on a mine, And got cut in half. The boarded up windows of a place carrying death, The stench of a six day old corpse, Halfway eaten by rats. The neighborhood used to blossom in life, Now it's swimming in red death. In a mirror, I see a bloodthirsty killing machine. I'm a monster. A church confession from years ago echoes between the holy walls. "I almost killed someone. Forgive me father..." But my prayers always fell on deaf ears. It's disgusting... That my soul used to be held in the cold, lifeless hands of a now nonexistent being. My demonic confession still echoes in between the walls. "Almost killed.. Almost ... almost... all the more. Kicked out his teeth. Almost killed him out of pleasure." I'm a monster. Locked in a rusty cage... Broke all the bloody chains, In sleepless, darkness, Spent in terror caused by the devil inside. Thinking...Tick Tock.... Flashes of lightning. Roaring thunder. Evil will eventually turn up. The devil inside now outside. The humans around, hiding behind sharp blades. Rock hard fists pounding on their faces. Unconscious bodies on the ground. The devil wounded. Adrenaline rush blocked out everything. Uniform pigs turned up. Consciousness regained for now. The laws bent, The enemy got away. Boiling rage. The monster tearing down my cage. Another demonic confession to the devil inside this time. Answers came immediately. "Go, get revenge." A day in the licking of wounds. Mister opportunity knocked on my door. Eyes popped open. Sharp sight, all red... He's almost dead. "Stop!" Moving backwards from the unconscious body. "I'm a monster." Went back in my cage, Burned sage, But evil turned up. Depressing parasite... Giving me strength when I don't have any. Taking the last ounce of it after... Roaring metallic music, Guitar in hand. A few minutes of trance. An amazed group of faces, Energy recharged. Flood of flames. A furious storm of fire... The mechanism of hell cranked up, for good. I'm a lost case, Doomed for eternity. I guess the painted, empty face of God likes the rich, drugged a*s liars, Not those who play fair, Work for what they have. So the alliance with the devil inside... A bloody pact for life. I'm doomed, a lost case. Doomed to a lifetime of war, And everyone around me becomes an unnecessary loss. The warmachine on an unstoppable rampage, Inside a world burning in rage Long dead, Empty cold dread. Execute the weak, Kill everyone in the way, Who darkens my day. When the smoke clears, I'll be the only one standing. © 2016 Dani The UnreviewedAuthor's Note
