Blue eyes,
colder than ice,
greater than oceans,
more beautiful than the skies,
wilder than the greatest winds,
all for love, they give the hints,
with every look.
Can be read like a book.
The eyes color the skies, to blue, and
my face to red.
I feel like a book,
yes I've been read.
That look, that joyfull look, makes the world go around, and me to look deeper, as they are my hearts keeper.

Hi IM Very nicely said. I like the lines' all for love, they give the hints with every look. Yes the eyes are the gateway to a person's soul. and just a twinkle can give a hint of love or they can become as cold as ice . When eyes are framed by mascara and blue shadow eyeliners I find this only highlights what you can read between the lines of those eyes. A nice write I enjoyed this and I don't know what's going on but I too are composing a poem on blue eyes lol and I read another the other day. Must be the month of eyes. andrew

Yeah, Writer, you're acting childish. You ask Danny to enter your contest, then you give him the first two places, probably without even reading the rest. No offense, but I read the other poems, you could have given the first two places to someone else, just like you gave them to Danny. Not like he didn't deserve it, its not the point. Well, this is the sweetest love poem I ever read. It clearly shows us that you are in love with the person who has those blue eyes. Not just any old blue eyes, the eyes of your boyfriend, the one you wrote so many poems about. This also shows, well to me it does, how beautiful your heart, and soul is. Unlike your statements in a few dark poems, where I have read "my soul is ugly" Well, this piece says otherwise. I hope you can forgive me for what I said. You are still my favorite poet ever. :)
