What We ShareA Poem by DaniRoseThis poem is part of a book I wrote in high school called Love, 38.
He told me that it was love,
He told me that he cared. But I guess when push comes to shove, Hatred was what we shared. I used to sit there, staring at the new girl, Wishing I was her. What she did, it makes me hurl, Hatred was what we shared. Our future is what he said I "cheated", Ruined from all my lies. And no matter how hard I pleaded him, Hatred was what we shared. I always felt bad for the things he never said, And the way I treated him. Then I realized that it was him, Hatred was what we shared. He told me he would forgive me, For the lies and all those things. But then, he too decided, That hatred was what we shared. Everything I did to him, Was rushing to the surface. All his friend said it was time, And that hatred was what we shared. So many things he told me, So many times he said he cared. I guess it's time for me to see, That hatred was what we shared. And now it's time to say, my love, Good bye to you for good. Because I now realize, my love, That hatred was all that we ever shared.
