Blue Eyes

Blue Eyes

A Poem by M.D.

Blonde hair
And blue eyes
You captivated her
The second saw you.

Bright blue eyes
That stare back
With a smile
To go with them.

She talks to you
And looks you in the eye
And you look too
Refusing to break the gaze.

Two pairs
Of blue eyes
Stare to one another
Refusing to look somewhere else.

She laughs and you smile
Because you adore her laugh
Both pairs of blue eyes are bright
And everyone knows why.

Without of even knowing the other blue
She fell because she think that's all she needed
And secretly
She hopes you did too.

When you and her are together
You both want time to stop
So you didn't have
To watch her leave.

At night
She dreams of you
And she wakes
Wishing her dreams were real.

Everyone see what's happening
And wants it to happen
But it doesn't
Because you're both to scared to make the first move.

You two act like a couple
But you're not.
Everyone asks
But you say no.

You talk
And never run out of things to say
And she listens
To every word you say.

She thinks you're perfect
In every way.
Her poems
Are full of words about you.

Almost a month without seeing you
And she doesn't feel whole.
To her
It feels like forever.

Every day
And every second
You're on her mind
And you never leave.

Her blue eyes
Misses your blue eyes
She misses looking at them
And it's tearing her apart.

Blue
Is her favorite color
But your blue
Is her favorite.

You
Haunt her mind
During the day
And at night.

She tells herself
It's unhealthly
To miss someone this much
As her blue eyes gloss over.

A pair of blue eyes
That fell in love
With another pair
Of blue eyes.
