It's The Way

It’s a lot of things

Things you do

To make me fall for you slowly

      then faster than I ever thought I could.

 

It’s the way when you walk toward me

      and I help but to smile.

 It’s the way when your around

      and I feel completely safe.

 It’s the way whenever you hold me close

      and my stomach goes crazy with butterflies.

 It’s the I stay up late at night

      and it’s because thoughts of you.

 It’s the way when you leave

      but it never seems like you were here long enough.

 It’s the way you always seem to leave me on my toes

      and my knees weak.

 It’s the way my pens run out of ink

     because all of my poems are about you.

It’s the way I could spend all day with you

     but miss you the second you leave.

It’s the way you fill my mind

     and I can’t do anything else

     but think of you.

It’s the way all the love songs make sense.

It’s the way I never want to leave your side.

It’s the way I always want to talk to you.

It’s the way you make me feel whole

     and beautiful

     and worth wanting.

It’s the way you always leave me wanting more.

It’s the way I think your amazing

     and perfect

     and worth all my thoughts.

It’s the way you made me fall
