So most people think I'm emo

I like to write
So most people think I have personal problems

I don't smile much
So I must suffer depression

I have little friends
So most people think I'm anti-social

I make good grades
So I must be a nerd

I like country music
So I must be trailer trash

My dad's in the military
So I must be a military brat

I don't speak my mind
So my opinion must not be important

Sixteen years I've been told these things
And all sixteen years, I've tried to prove them wrong
Because none of this is true.
