The rich grow richer and money talks in an increasingly loud voice; that's pretty much the separation today, not that the moneyed have ever given a s**t about those with nowt.
Shame that all kids can't run merrily down those tree shades lanes.

The street to my grandparents house had very old, very large weeping willows on both sides, they provided a stunning canape the length of the street, Sadly as happens, they were all cut down and not replaced.
Such a melting and merging of shadows and light. There is an aching place in the world with the wonders woven into the painful awakenings. Leaves me wondering so much in our new year's light.

The streets were my playground, too. If only those "imaginary guns" were more than just our imagination.
A gripping tale of extraordinary writing, Dan!

I often think in the small picture - then I catch myself and think again of the big picture, for me it's a constant battle - the small demands attention and yet the big shows us that life is one giant cycle and it will flow on and on and on and we will return from whence we came and we shall spawn some kind of new life - in some way, shape or from ...
but then I am dragged back to the small demanding attention and yes we should give it attention and deal with it with all kinds of thought because that is what enables us to learn and grow ... if we learn and grow we may in fact let more light in ... and then
in the big sheme of things - nothing really matters in the eternal flow
it's a constant arguement I tell you :)
I enjoyed the flow and the imagery you have presented here a grand them in a small world where I still must ask ... what does really matter X

But at the same time, do we as poets have a responsibility to try to sort it all out? For me the answer is definitely yes. I suppose that i couldn't write if i felt differently.
thank you so much for your kind review. I haven't gotten many of those lately, so i appreciate it double. Hope your Christmas was wonderful and best wishes for a very happy new year!! xx
