It's the sea

It's the sea

A Poem by daninstockholm

It’s the Sea,

Washing away the shoreline of my will.

Hushed like a bulb in midwinter

Full of secrets, but silent,

It’s the winds,

Beckoning all the Earth

To it’s sweet surrender

It’s a quiet fire seen but not heard

Never truly controllable,

It reshapes my world

And burns in my heart like the touch of a newborn

It’s when the morning air

Fills my lungs with a purer peace

And it’s when I see you, still asleep,

Softly bending my will without a word,

And I think, yes, this is a moment

Moments only exist for those who truly love,

These are the things I think of when you’re away.
